Location

Diwar Island, Goa, India

I was hoping this year would be filled with travel and it seems to have come true so far. Unfortunately, I do not have a travel diary for Rajasthan, where I went to in January, however, an editorial and a short film from my time there will up on FUSS soon. Before I embark on my February Kutch travel diaries, I wanted to quickly share a few photographs from a weekend trip to Divar Island in Goa.

  1. Truly gorgeous – I love how you capture the country so beautifully – there truly is beauty in the everyday, case and point being these photos!

    1. Thank you Shloka, beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess. It is so true, everybody sees things in a million different ways.

  2. Rhea im a Goan living in Bombay. For me Goa is only Baga and Parra. Thanks for showing the otherside of Goa. The pictures are beautifully shot 🙂 🙂

    1. Hi Richa! It was a conscious decision to have people, costume, portraits, emotions fall under one category and to have travel, landscapes, architecture, smaller details of that sort be under one. It worked better for me to showcase and catalog my photography work under these separate categories, although they do subtly overlap at times in my compositions.

  3. Rhea, you are an inspiration. I’ve been following you for about a year and a half now and am so inspired by the breadth of your work and your unique talent for visual story telling. When you get a chance, could you tell me what kind of camera you shoot with? -Supriya, New York City

    1. Hi Supriya! Thank you so much for your kind, kind words! I currently use a Canon 5dmark3 but this particular set of images on this post were shot with my baby camera Canon 1100D.
