My earliest memories of fashion include matching mum – knitted sweaters and floppy hats, colorful ballet flats and some strange beauty experiments with talcum powder. Amidst all these objects the image of six very fashionable barbie dolls brings a smile to my face. My sister and I inherited them as hand – me – downs from a dear cousin. They came with several tiny clothes and shoes, their own wardrobe and of course, a swimming pool. Each one had a different look, a unique hairstyle and thus my sister and I styled them as individuals rather than clones on each other. I am not sure if this distant memory is so vivid in my head because somewhere deep down I knew this is what I would be interested it and choose as a career. My barbie dolls sure sparked my interest in fashion and styling. It is funny how the simplest of things in our childhood can have such a huge impact on our lives.
Denim Jacket – Sheinside.com (Shop Here)
Floral Skirt – Thrift
White Purse – Zovi.com
Platform Heels – Steve Madden
I have wanted to do a denim look since a while and this cool jacket from sheinside.com gave me the perfect inspiration to put together this look. I wore it like a top instead of a jacket over this very bright floral skirt with minimal accessories.
