Immersed in the writings of Murakami, my sister explained to me the meaning behind the Japanese word ‘Mujo’ with respect to the Sakura blossoms in Japan. How the writer delves into finding peace in beauty which is to eventually fade away. That same day, I found a dead butterfly, sunlit underneath an empty window sill. Even in death, she was beautiful like the wind.

  1. I love Murakami’s writing and appreciate the beauty in all things knowing they (we) are ephemeral. Love the feel of your blog now, Rhea. I found out on your instagram you’re going on a creative journey to break out of the routine. It’s been a while since I come here and I shall be coming back. Stay brilliant 😉 xo
