Noticing and capturing simpler aesthetics and colour palettes
Photography by Rhea Gupte
Three days into living in the temporary apartment for the month and I am finally feeling a lot more at ease. My body seems to get more and more familiar with the place, with every passing day, and congruently, my mind eases into a familiar rhythm. I have promised myself to make this the most productive month of my life. This involves, taking chances, sticking to schedules and pushing myself away from the comfort zone. Copious jotting down of ideas is a given, and enabling myself to execute them is a must. As my pile of unexecuted ideas gets bigger, I am constantly in a state torn apart by whether I am working enough per day and whether it is possible to ever execute everything. The latter seems improbable as with every idea brought to fruition, five more already find their way into my diary. Even so, working on these images from Kutch are making a few of my travel photography goals come true. It is always baby steps on the way to accomplishment. Nobody is lucky. Overnight successes are a sham. Hard work is the inevitable answer to most stories with happy endings.
