Here are five party looks for you, a take on how I would style myself to five very different kinds of parties. Each look featuring pretty shades of Maybelline Color Show Nail Colors. Before we go on to the looks I would like to share 5 things I keep in mind while picking a nail color or nail art to go with my outfit.
1. I prefer using a nail colour which either matches or contrasts with the color of my outfit.
2. On rare occasions I pick a color of the same color family as the outfit I am wearing. It makes the color palette of the ensemble stand out.
3. When going for crazy nail art patterns, I make sure my dress is on the plainer side to avoid making the look overwhelming.
4. Matching patterns can often look cute too, like a striped shirt with striped nails.
5. I love having my lip color and nail color match at times like in the hi – fashion ad campaigns.
For a chilled out not – so – early morning brunch, I went with a cotton polka dot dress and painted my nails this luscious shade of red. This is my dream shade of the perfect cherry red and I have been trying to find it for so long, I decided to keep it on in the plain classy way since the dots and chevron already make it look like a lot happening.

For a chilled out party with friends I opted for a sheer shirt and a cute pinafore with pockets. I matched the colors in my shirt to create a diagonally – slit – across nail art look.
How to: 1. Paint the base coat. In this case Downtown Red. 2. After it has dried paint the second color in a swift diagonal stroke an fill in the rest. 3. Apply a second coat of Constant Candy.

A beach party look calls for some vibrant and fun colors. Since the dress is so bright I went for a pretty neutral shade for my nails and spiced it up with these adorable moustache stickers available in the Maybelline nail stickers pack. Aren’t these super cute?
How to: 1. Apply 2 coats on Constant Candy. 2. Wait for the polish to dry completely. 3. Pick your favourite sticker from the Maybelline pack and stick it on the way you want.
4. Make sure the sticker is stuck perfectly and paint a coat of clear polish to finish.

I have wanted something checkered since Marc Jacobs did an entire show on checkerboard prints and stripes. Though I am slightly late to feature this print I still love this trend none the less. I wore my nails in a chic french manicure style giving it my own twist in red and black. Perfect for that chic label launch party!
A shimmery short dress is my go – to for a clubbing night. I painted my nails in an edgy half – black – half – silver way to go with the dark look and the silver sparkle in the dress.
